CYPRUS POSTCODE |
|
| The
Postcode system of Cyprus combines, with only 4 digits, all the necessary
information for the routing, sorting and delivery of postal items. The new
alphabetical district listing provides an easy and reliable identification
of the destination of the postal items. It is also a necessary prerequisite for the modernisation and/or automation of the whole postal system in the sorting of mail as well as for the quick and safe delivery of postal items to the addressees. The public is requested to participate in the efforts for the improvement of the postal services by always using the relevant postcode number in correspondence. The benefit will be mutual: quick execution of the postal work and best service to the public. For items bearing the postcode and provided that they are posted each time in a quantity of not less than 1000, the following discounts are allowed: 1. 10% in the case that the items are presorted in urban and rural areas per District 2. 15% in the case that the items are presorted: i. In rural areas per District ii. In Municipalities / Communities / urban areas. iii. In P.O. Boxes per District iv. In Government services per District 3. 25% in the case that the items are presorted: i. In Districts ii. In sequence of postcode numbers. iii. By street and sequence of house number iv.
