Amargeti Village

Amargeti village is located in a tranquil and peaceful setting, approximately 400 meters above sea-level.. With just a 180 registered residents, the village is set between the two largest rivers of Paphos District, Ezousas and Xeros. Considering this, and the amount of water that flows through the region whenever it rains, the area is home to many orchards of various fruit trees.

Several artefacts from by-gone days are on display around the village; the main church is called Zoodochos Pigi while a smaller chapel, dedicated to St. George also exists.

The traditional process for the production of wine, and the local spirit ‘Zivania’ prevails in the village and the locals are very proud of their products.

Amargeti village is found along the E606. Take the Ayia Varvara exit on the Paphos-Limassol highway (A6), follow the E606 until you see signs for Amargeti.
