Ezousas river is one of the longest rivers in the Paphos District, spanning approximately 41 kms. Its sources are located high in the Troodos mountains, which flow into Kannaviou dam close to the village of Kannaviou. When the dam is full and overspills, it forms the Ezousas River, which continues on its course to the sea.

Along its way, it flows past several settlements; the most notable of which are Ayia Varvara and Achelia, where the river flows just on the boundaries of the villages.

The mouth of the river flows into the sea just west of Geroskipou town.

The two most notable places to view the Ezousas river are along the A6 and B6.

The A6 highway crosses the river on a long curving bridge just before the Ayia Varvara exit, while the B6 road crosses the river closer to the sea near Achelia village.
