Stavros Tis Psokas is home to a Mouflon Sanctuary, the animals are now protected wildlife.

At approximately 1000 mts Stavros is also a very popular mountain picnic resort and has many facilities on hand for the public to utilise.

There is also a cafe for those wishing to enjoy the scenery, without having to cook a delicious souvla!

To get there you are advised to use a four wheel drive vehicle at any time other than summer, the roads are potted and often have a loose surface, as well that it it can get very windy. The last several km are on dirt track alone. Head towards Kykokos Monasatry from Panagia village and it is well sign posted from there.
