The CTO have offices across Cyprus and have been established since 1969; they are a semi-governmental organisation.
The mandate of the CTO is to provide information about Cyprus and promote tourism locally and overseas.
The local CTO offices are staffed by knowledgeable personnel, who can give advice and guidance in several languages, they also provide free maps, booklets and publications to the public.
